Objectives
The curricular unit objectives are:- Introduce and develop the concepts, methodologies and tools for effective participation in the process ofstrategic management;- Understand the different situations of strategic analysis, including analysis of the environment, industry andstakeholders; -- Use rational approaches to identifying and choosing alternatives including key skills and strategy based onscale and not scale;- Analyze issues and practices related to the implementation of the chosen strategies;At the end of the semester students should be able to:- Analyze the external business, industry and competitive analysis;- Analyze business strategies and company;- Develop comprehensive strategies and respective control and management strategy of performance

Teaching methodologies and assessment
The themes will be presented in each session through lecture, so that, once exposed, it opens a space for discussion with students. Itis also used the construction of scenarios for the class and case studies to promote a discussion system of ideas and concepts. Thecontinuous assessement will be carried out through two theoretical test (50%) and practical work (50%).The assessment is carried outin accordance with the General Assessment Regulation of the Universidade Lusófona do Porto.
