The succession phenomenon 1. Death as a prerequisite to succession. Legal concept of death. 2. Designation of successors 3. Opening the succession 4. Succession vocation 5. The estate in abeyance 6. Acceptance and rejection 7. Acquired inheritance, administration, disposal, liquidation and inheritance sharing III. Modes of succession 1. Legal succession (intestate and mandatory) 2. Voluntary sucession (testate and contractual)

Objectives
Objectives
The study of Sucessions Law provides students with the tools required for the acquisition of basic knowledge about the legal regulation of inheritance, allowing them to resolve problems related to this branch of law. Thus, this curriculum unit aims at providing students with the necessary knowledge of legislation, jurisprudence, and case law in the field of the law of successions, wills, and probate.Students are expected to acquire theoretical knowledge of the subject matter and should develop the ability to solve cases within the scope of the subject matter taught and are expected to take a critical attitude vis-à-vis the issues.
