Objectives
Objectives
In order to complement the content taught in Employment Law I, subjects relating to employees' rights and duties will be analysed, namely attendance and the right to rest, which is reflected in the legal regime for holidays; working time and place of work; the concept and legal regime applicable to remuneration; the transfer of establishment and its effects; the suspension of the employment contract; and, with greater density, the termination of the employment contract, in its various forms. With regard to each of these institutes, the role of the employees' collective representation structures will be mentioned and, in the area of employment disputes, strikes will be mentioned. The aim is to give to the students the skills to solve Employment Law problems. To this end, the current employment law framework will be used, namely the Labour Code, as well as leading doctrinal positions and some important case law.
