1. Ethics: between the old concerns and new issues arising from social networks: 1.1. Research ethics; 1.2. Ethics of action. 2. From the analysis of the data to the presentation of the results: 2.1. Presentation of results of a quantitative investigation; 2.1. Presentation of results of a qualitative research; 2.2. Presentation of results of a mixed investigation. 3. Research Challenges: 3.1. Digital evaluation; 3.2. Teaching and learning in mediated environments; 3.3. Research and development of projects and policies in media education; 4. Construction of a research project; 5. Elaboration of a scientific article.

Objectives
Objectives
With this Curricular Unit (CU) we aim to continue the program of CUs I and II. It is important to consolidate the knowledge of conceptual and practical instruments that enable the student to investigate in the area of MIL. It is intended that the student be able to: 1. Critically analyse the ethical issues inherent in research in general, and research in media studies, in particular research involving children, young people and adults, including in social networks; 2. Articulate the knowledge of the scientific methods used in the area of media and informational education with the practice of research; 3. Understand the challenges of research in teaching-learning contexts, evaluation and educational projects or policies for the media. 4. Develop skills to present the results of a work of research; 5. Grasp the presuppositions of the design of a research project; 6. Identify the basic components in the elaboration of a scientific article.
