Meeting on Quality and Organizational Excellence: Integration and Practices in various sectors
The indicators of productivity and levels of competitiveness of organizations depend on various factors, among which include their ability to create value for their customers through the quality of goods and services they provide, as well as the adoption of management practices that promote the formalization, management, and continuous improvement of their operational and support processes.
On the 8th of March, APQ - Portuguese Association for Quality and Universidade Lusófona will host an event discussing a range of topics related to Quality and Organizational Excellence. The intervention of Professor Paulo Sampaio, Vice-President of APQ and lecturer at the University of Minho, will highlight the importance of Quality in Organizations and how it can be crucial for students and their integration into the labor market.
The event will also provide a practical perspective with the illustration of projects developed within the automotive, metalworking, and food industries, as well as in the retail sector, along with a dynamic session featuring the presence of Holmes Place, demonstrating how sports practice promotes quality of life. It includes participation from the Quality Directorate of Universidade Lusófona, as well as representatives from some of its Organic Units, namely: Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Physical Education and Sports, and the School of Communication, Architecture, Arts, and Information Technologies, the latter through the European University project - FILMEU.
