The Faculty of Communication, Architecture, Arts and Information Technologies has the vocation of teaching and research in the areas of architecture, communication, information, audiovisual and multimedia, arts and design, as well as the extension and provision of services to the community. The doctoral programs in Studies in Communication for Development, Architecture and Media Art embody the deepening of advanced training and the development of research in innovative areas within the scope of university higher education and unique in the context in which FCAATI is inserted - the case of Arts of Media and Studies in Communication for Development, as well as in a field of traditional relevance in the city of Porto - the case of Architecture.
The weekly film club open to the city, with screenings of major works of Portuguese and international cinema, as well as the annual Multiplex editions with the presence of a guest director and retrospective of his work, constitute initiatives of academic and cultural value that stand out in city life
