    Theoretical and practical Interpretation classes, with a view to preparing the actor mostly for cinema, television and audiovisual. With a very strong practical component, the classes develop not only technical acting skills but also knowledge of the actor's work in different professional contexts.

    Syllabus

    1- Technical training consisting of different exercises related to the body, voice and emotion, in a filming context. 2 -Reading and analysis of television and film scripts and character profiles. 3- Viewing scenes and iconic characters in film and television. 4- Practical work on constructing a character based on a profile and a script. 5 - Practical work based on film and television dialogues. 6 - Practical work based on an ensemble scene, with a large cast. 7 - Group writing of a scene for television or film with the respective character profiles. Presentation and defense of the result.  
  • Objectives

    Objectives

    Development of the student's acting skills. Consolidation of specific acting skills for different areas, mainly television and cinema. The aim is for the student to understand and incorporate: the different expressive uses of the body and voice; the differences in time and rhythm; the differences between the camera's gaze and the audience's gaze; memory and concentration on set; emotional and physical management and control in repeated takes; close-ups, the gaze and the ability to dissociate physical actions from emotion; listening, reaction and counter-acting skills; the adaptation of impulse to the frame; creative imagination in building the character and reading scripts; autonomy and responsibility in large teams; physical and mental resistance for the filming process; the ability to analyse the practical process and present alternatives.
  • Teaching methodologies and assessment

    Teaching methodologies and assessment

    The student will have a simulated professional experience, focusing on their autonomy and creativity. From the script and character profile on paper, to filming and viewing the scene. The student's individuality is stimulated as well as their knowledge of some emblematic interpretations of excellent actors while incorporating different points of view on the scene and the character and learning to take responsibility for their place in the complex artistic and technical gear of the audio-visual medium.
