The UC aims to teach the basic principles of a Communication Design project. It seeks to develop aesthetic, conceptual and technical criteria that will allow the development of the graphic content of a television program. It covers the areas of visual identity, dissemination (on screen and printed), as well as animated graphics for television broadcast, such as separators and oracles.

Syllabus
1. Fundamentals of Communication Design for the development and application of graphic content necessary for the dissemination and production of TV programmes: - Design methodology aimed at developing graphic content for the identity and dissemination of television content on screen and in print; - Design methodology aimed at developing graphic content for Motion Graphics; - Fundamentals of typography - families, structure, design, application; - Composition fundamentals - shape/background, symmetry/symmetry, proportion, balance and rhythm; - Colour fundamentals - systems and harmonies. 2. Fundamental techniques and tools associated with vector design and image editing software, which are necessary for a print and screen communication project. 3. Practical project: idealisation and application of graphic content for the promotion and production of a television programme.

Objectives
Objectives
The main aim of the course is to assimilate and apply the basic principles of Communication Design applied to the communication and visual identity of a television programme in print and on screen. In order to fulfil this objective, students should acquire and demonstrate the following skills: - Recognise and coherently apply Communication Design concepts for print and animated graphics, in the areas of typography, colour, image, static and animated composition; - Use a project-adapted methodology to develop the graphic content needed to publicise the programme. - Skilfully apply the fundamental techniques and tools of vector drawing, graphics animation and image editing software necessary for the correct expression of the design concept; - Execution of the graphic content required for the semester's transversal project.

Teaching methodologies and assessment
This is a theoretical-practical course that combines an expository format with in-class tutoring processes, where the application and development of knowledge is based on the development of a multi-camera audiovisual project that cuts across five courses of the semester.
