The context of the series as an audiovisual format is presented and basic issues of writing for the moving image are introduced, along with script analyses. Assessment is continuous and will culminate in the final assignment. Six working groups will be set up. We'll start with the idea for a series of five episodes of around seven/ten minutes each and work our way up to a pilot episode that will be the first episode of the series. The series will be subject to the theme of the semester. The final work will have the following elements (according to the model to be provided): Page 1: - Title (one word, capitalised) - Identification of the group members Page 2: - 'Logline' Next page: - Synopsis of the series Next page:  - Episode synopses Next page: - Character descriptions Next page: - Pilot episode script **In the event of failure, the final exam will be written, with script analysis and based on knowledge of the bibliography.
