Presentation
Presentation
In our introduction to Portuguese cinema, we will focus on the aesthetic analysis of forms and tendencies. We are interested in the aesthetic values that affirm it, both internally and in relation to the state of the cinema in the world. Considering the lines of creation, the authors, and the films to be discussed, as well as the existing written thought about it, we seek to find concepts that may correspond to what the films present, identifying and envisaging effective and possible creative paths in the present. Participation in the Cineclub (some films) will provide the experience of screening films in the cinema room, as well as contact with artists and aspects of the cinematographic production in Portugal.

Objectives
Objectives
Firstly, the aim is to provide knowledge of influential authors and films in Portuguese cinema. Secondly, the aim is to help to recognise the formal lines at work within modern and contemporary Portuguese cinema, both those that are specific to each author and those that may run through the production as a whole. Finally, the aim is to develop a critical capacity and understanding of the concepts presented, which involves, from the outset, problematising the value of the very notion of "Portuguese cinema".

Teaching methodologies and assessment
Teaching methodologies and assessment
Being a subject of cultural and aesthetic formation, the contact with the works in their entirety, in the context of the Cineclub, provides an experience that is necessary in school today, particularly in the scientific-artistic areas of the image-mouvement.
