[To acquire technical knowledge] Handling top professional digital video cameras such as ARRI ALEXA and analog film cameras. Acquire knowledge of the entire work process of a camera team in a professional environment in the industry. Know how to design a work from a photographic point of view, working as a team with the director and other departments. Learn how to operate the camera and to frame. [The art of Cinematography] To know how to analyze and design cinematography of a fictional scene. The aesthetic choice for a given narrative genre. Execution of cinematography styles adaptable to the cinematographic narrative in question. Know how to create different types of environments with light. Learn the meaning of camera movements and different scales. Cinematographic conventions.

Objectives
To acquire aesthetic and technical knowledge in approaching cinematographic genres. Execution of camera movements combined with light design and movements. Acquire solid knowledge of image capture and adopt different genres. Stay aware of the importance color correction in the final image processing. Be able to analyze, interpret and design a photograph of a fictional scene. Could operate any video camera or digital cinema, in a filming context. Be able to manage the image, lighting and grip team and work with the rest of the team, namely director and production design. Being able to command a team to bring filming to a successful conclusion. Also practice image capture in a documentary environment and practice still photography

Teaching methodologies and assessment
Carrying out exercises outside class hours as a team strengthens bonds between students to prepare them for the diploma film Also a good experience to integrate them into the job market. The exercises involve following some guidelines, such as photographing a day or night environment and with the lighting give a sensation what time of the day the scene is taking part.
