Objectives
Objectives
The student is expected to develop applied research or project work in the area of Civil Protection and similar areas, which will be used in a Final Report, as well as demonstrate the ability to execute, present and defend it. The work will preferably be carried out in an external business or institutional context, always under the guidance of a course teacher. The presentation and defense of the final report is done in public evidence, before a jury specifically constituted for that purpose. The objective of this curricular unit is also to bring the student closer to the job market and lead them to write a short technical-scientific paper. The work carried out must demonstrate, on the part of the student: critical and creative ability to integrate the knowledge and skills acquired in the course, to deepen them and apply them in new contexts; basic skills and autonomy for scientific research and the use of appropriate methodologies and technologies.

Teaching methodologies and assessment
Teaching methodologies and assessment
This is a personalized project closely supervised by a faculty member, where the student must apply the knowledge and skills acquired throughout their academic journey in a practical context. Evaluation by a jury is a distinctive element. The supervisor plays a key role, as the project requires originality, innovation, and adherence to deadlines and writing standards. The supervisor may also serve as a link to external institutions involved in the project. To ensure consistency and coordination, a general coordinator oversees the unit. All classes are tutorial-based (OT – Tutorial Orientation).
