Presentation
This curricular unit aims to function as a theoretical-practical introduction to the practice of journalism, providing a general overview of the contexts (social and organizational) of the profession and the requirements (technical and human) required of professionals. Providing students with a critical perspective on what the media currently conveys and on the reality "told" in it, on the one hand, and providing them with the technical equipment used in the journalistic style, on the other, are the main objectives of this discipline. Observing, researching, analysing, reporting and writing will be the predominant activities throughout the course.

Teaching methodologies and assessment
Teaching methodologies and assessment
Active teaching-learning methodologies will be used, such as the flipped classroom among others, centered on the learner. Practical lessons will emulate a newsroom, in which students will conduct journalistic discourse writing, by applying knowledge acquired from writing techniques, genres, languages, ¿¿research and information elaboration methodologies. Individual work to be presented at the end of the semester will be accompanied by the teacher from the beginning to the end of its elaboration in order that the exercise, more than a moment of assessment, constitutes a means of approaching journalistic work on the ground. The teacher takes a function of general coordination, distribution, follow-up, and correction of texts, personally tracking work development.
