Syllabus
Use of a browser with a personal account and synchronized bookmarks. Google search with commands. Use of reference pages for writing and translation. Professional use of Adobe Acrobat Reader (annotating, attaching documents, etc.) Use of Mendeley for reference management. Word and structured documents with paragraph and character styles. PowerPoint and structured presentations. Use of PowerPoint for creating scientific posters Excel: tables and basic descriptive statistics concepts. Calculation of index numbers. Scatter and line graphs. Pivot tables and databases. Google Docs, including Forms and questionnaire development.

To deepen several computer tools, focusing mainly on the structured use of Office (Word, PowerPoint and Excel), Google Docs, Adobe Acrobat Reader, and Mendeley (bibliographic reference management), preferably in professional contexts of education and social sciences research.

Teaching methodologies and assessment
Classes are always held in a laboratory with computers. Students are also encouraged to use their laptops. In class, in addition to presentations / structured explanations by the teacher, illustrating ideas, concepts and procedures, simultaneously with individual and class-wide clarifications, students are required to make presentations and illustrations of procedures. In the scope of the UC, each student writes a "chronicle about his school history", which is used to compile a collective book, in a structured way, in Word.
