    In this course, students will be encouraged to review their work, previous and ongoing, and reflect on different ways of presenting it, through physical and digital supports. Topics covered include online portfolio, application, exhibition and catalog and author's book. Photobooks, fanzines, catalogs and other editorial formats will be presented and discussed. Through practical exercises it is intended that students  understand how their editorial decisions influence the direction and reception of their work. It is intended that students acquire and develop technical and conceptual skills related to  image editing and publication creation, recognizing the narrative potentials of authoral photography.

    1. Creation of the student's image as an author: a. Online portfolio; b. Biography, CV, Statement; c. Descriptive memory, synopsis, captions and technical information sheet;  2. Author's edition: a. Author/artists publications: typologies, rhythm, narrativa, aesthetic and conceptual options; b. Production of paper models c. Tools for creating editorial photographic objects: Adobe InDesign: layouts, page set, typographic choices. d. Preparation of collective edition; design, layout, production.

    Objectives

    At the end of the course, students should be able to organize their images, adapting forms of presentation to their purposes. They should know how to build a portfolio and design and build photographic editorial objects. They should also know how to apply an aesthetic sense when it comes to editorial design.
  • Teaching methodologies and assessment

    Teaching methodologies and assessment

    The course seeks to involve external actors linked to the world of photobooks and publishing, through presentations and workshops. Students are also led to develop a publication that they produce and actually publish, in order to apply their knowledge in a real context.
