Objectives
Reflection on some texts/discourses about art Understand the importance of photography in the field of art Understand the importance of discourse in contemporary artwork Know and identify the main movements in photography in the 2nd half of the 20th century and the 21st century. Provide a space for analysis and discussion around visual objects from the spheres of visual arts, cinema, photography and video. To apprehend the concepts and specificities present in the various artistic languages Recognize some of the historical actors responsible for the evolution of photography as an artistic medium; conceptual and discursive object Perform theoretical and practical exercises - Design and develop an author's photographic project - Formalization of the project in publication or exhibition installation

Teaching methodologies and assessment
The curricular unit has a theoretical and practical nature, therefore, the methodologies range from the development of cognitive and reflective skills, encouraging analysis and criticism, to the proposal of exercises and practical photographic projects. Individual tutorial classes with group discussion moments.
