Presentation
Portugal is undoubtedly connected to water, an element that constitutes 50% of its frontiers, where access to the river spaces grows and in which the built aquatic spaces have proliferated since the decade 90. In these spaces, the aquatic activities associated with leisure and the promotion of welfare play an important role that justifies the preparation of specialized technicians who, harmoniously, integrate into the foundations of their intervention, in addition to the competencies of a safe leadership, the biomechanical, physiological and pedagogical assumptions and also the human development knowledge, as well as a knowledge of the professional context to perceive its sustainability.
