    Option 2 - Fitness is a discipline that seeks to develop skills in prescribing and supervising training programs for apparently healthy individuals, special populations and special stages of life, in the context of an exercise room or small groups. In-depth analysis of joint and muscular strength exercises and methodologies associated with this physical capacity is sought. It also aims to address the methodologies applied to "cardiorespiratory" training and flexibility in different contexts.

    Kinesiological analysis of exercises with free weights and machines (guided and unguided). Specific Principles of Strength Training. Planning, prescription and periodization of training in the context of the exercise room and small groups. Evaluation protocols. Prescription of cardiorespiratory and flexibility training. Case studies.

    Objectives

      Describe and relate the different types of exercises in strenght training, and equipments, applied according to their objective and the population concerned. Prescribing training within an integrated continuum to develop all physical capabilities Meet the respective integration progressions most appropriate to the context.
