It is expected that students attending this course unit (UC), by its conclusion, will be able to: a) Understand and teach the sport as a complex and complete discipline, valuing all areas of the athletic universe in accordance with the Physical Education Programs and WA proposals. b) Use appropriate language and information and communication techniques for the different situations of their professional intervention. c) Plan, manage, and evaluate each stage of the teaching process, with the National Physical Education Programs as a fundamental axis, as well as achieving the objectives of School Sports. d) Relate the sport’s content in historical, technical, tactical, and organizational terms. e) Master evaluation as a regulating element and promoter of learning quality. f) Understand their field of action beyond purely sporting intervention, extending it to the sphere of social and cultural change through sport.

Introduction to "Kids Athletics" Walking Race walking and Running The main mechanical differences between walking, marching and running The phase stability, suspension, swings, arm action, the frequency of the amplitude of the pace The race walking Running technique Official rules The role of walking in fight against obesity Jumping The high jump, long and triple jump Stages of the movement, the dominant technical aspects, official rules Implementation techniques Initiation to jumps and safety rules Throwing Javelin trhow and shot put Phases of movements, mainly technical aspects, official rules Implementation techniques Initiation to throws and security rules

Objectives
