Class Fitness II (Individual Activities)

  • Presentation

    Presentation

The Fitness II curricular unit falls within a set of Curricular Units that aim to provide students with tools for future professional practice as exercise physiologist. The CU is based on the recommendations of leading national and international bodies, looking for a sustained professional practice supported by scientific evidence. Moreover, the organization of classes and contents aims to provide the conceptual and practical framework that allows in later years a gradual articulation and application of knowledge, aiming at a deeper content exploration. For this, a period of observation in real context (i.e. gyms) will also be held where the articulation of the contents worked with the reality of these spaces will be promoted. It is expected that it will be reached as a final training product in the exercise and health/ fitness subject, professionals with the ability to adapt their practice to most emerging situations of practice, and with the ability to lift the professional area.
