Class Theory of Sports Training II - Aquatic Activities

  • Presentation

    Presentation

In a country where 50% of the borders are water, where access to the river spaces grows and in which, since the decade of 90, the built aquatic spaces proliferate, the aquatic activities associated with leisure and the promotion of welfare play an important role that justifies its integration into the curriculum of any physical exercise professional. Understand the biomechanical and physiological assumptions inherent to the immersed body, know and know how to use the potential of the aquatic environment for the realization of exercise, know and know how the human being adapts to this involvement and how it can enjoy it with greater effectiveness and efficiency, both in the context of swimming pool and at sea, are the principles that guide the development of the 3 blocks of content that comprise this UC: swimming, Surf and Aquatic Exercise.

Aquatic environment adaptation; Definition of laterality and take-off development; Training in foams, Directionality training and travel on the wave; Introduction to Pedagogical Practice.
  • Objectives

    Objectives

To know the biomechanics and physiologic body adaptations to immersion; be able to swim the 4 swimming techniques and to describe the arm and leg actions, the coordination requisites and a common teaching progression; be able to perform the specific water polo legs technique in addition to the pass and shoot as well as the basic artistic swimming skills; know the main goals in the adaptation process to the aquatic environment and to describe the aquatic readiness system. Perform a sequence of exercises in a water exercise basic class segment with music, showing good posture and dynamism. Acquire a basic knowledge about the material differentiating surfing from other board arrangements; Acquire a basic knowledge of sea and wave conditions; Understand and perform all safety procedures; acquire common knowledges on the meaning and practical basic of ISN; Know how to warm up; Acquire the paddling and take-off movements; Stand up in the surfboard; know the Pedagogical Surf Coaching.
