Athletics is a fundamental sport in the process of development of general sports. Athletics is differentiated as a multidisciplinary sport that develops basic motor skills such as running, throwing and jumping and develops conditional skills such as speed, strength and endurance. The knowledge, skills and aptitudes acquired provide the basis for intervention of the Physical Education professional and Sports Coach.

Objectives
Content integration for the development of a knowledge-based professional practice; Beginning of specialization in teaching and training of Athletics; Application, in real context, of procedures and tasks inherent to the performance of the functions of Athletics specialists; It is intended that the student acquires the competence to organize, plan, execute and evaluate training programs appropriate to reality, applying critically and in an integrated manner knowledge of their expertise and multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary knowledge.
