Live observation, whenever possible, of matches from the highest-level national and international competitions . Seminars and training activities for various sectors of the volleyball community

    Objectives

    1. Identify the various federative regulations and their scope of application. 2. Analyze, identify, and describe the determinants for the execution of technical gestures and tactical behaviors in conditioned and formal small-sided play situations. 3. Identify, master, and utilize the sport's specific terminology, as well as the relationships and dependencies between the major phases of the game – complex I (KI) and complex II (KII). 4. Recognize the game as the primary means to be used in its teaching, structuring situations of overcoming, progression, and specialization, based on the level of quality of its players. 5. Develop an interpretation of the game's learning phases. 6. Master each of the coaching techniques. 7. Develop, implement, and evaluate training units. 8. Interpret sport as a form of integration and empowerment - sport for people with disabilities.
  • Teaching methodologies and assessment

    Teaching methodologies and assessment

    Classes are mostly theoretical and practical. Continuous assessment includes three components: a practical component (35% weighting), practice implementation, and coaching technique; a theoretical-practical component, assessment/diagnosis, practice framing, and planning (30% weighting); and a theoretical component (written exam, 35% weighting). Exam assessment will include a written/oral exam (50% weighting) and a theoretical and practical component (50% weighting). Students will have access to the communication support materials used by the teacher and supplementary materials (e.g., regulations) in Moodle. Skills will be developed in the use of freeware game observation and analysis software (Lince).
