  • Presentation

    Presentation

The approach in this curricular unit (UC) is oriented towards a first contact with the architectural project in its various components. The aim is to develop a set of exercises, of intermediate complexity at the programmatic and territorial level, but already oriented towards the implementation of a complete architectural project. From a look at the built reality, to the elaboration of a concept, to the critical development of solutions, and ending with the communication and final representation of the project. This semester will work on the theme of housing, in its multi-family conception, as a response to a place, a society and its inhabitants.

    Teaching methodologies and assessment

The syllabus deals with concepts, methodologies, principles, procedures, essential to provide students with the knowledge and instruments necessary to prepare architectural projects focused on the issue of housing. Teaching these contents in an analytical as well as expository way will allow students to instill the necessary reflection to achieve critical thinking about the current role of housing in the discipline of architecture. It should be noted that both the syllabus and practical exercises will be closely related to the thematic approach of all curricular units for the 3rd year.
