    The Curricular Unit “Research Methodology II” is an essential component of the Master's Degree in Clinical Nutrition, aimed at the practical application of the knowledge acquired in “Research Methodology I”. This discipline trains students to develop research projects in the area of Nutrition Sciences, from the preparation to the execution of rigorous studies, following precise scientific methodologies. The scope of this UC includes the preparation and writing of scientific articles, the execution of research work, and the documentary exploration necessary for the theoretical foundation of the studies. This course allows students to consolidate their skills in scientific research, which is essential for evidence-based practice in Clinical Nutrition.

    Realization of the research process. Practical application of the research project. Preparation of a scientific paper. Execution of scientific work. General criteria for writing and presenting scientific papers. Documentary exploration and relevance factors in bibliographic research.

    Objectives

    Practical application of the knowledge acquired in the curricular unit of Research Methodologies I, aiming at the development of research work in the area of Nutrition Sciences. Prepare a research scientific paper. Training the student in the elaboration of studies in the area of Nutrition Sciences, according to a rigorous methodology and precise rules of discipline and conduct to follow in the analysis of well-defined questions in the reference area. Understand and apply the principles of scientific research methodology and the techniques that compose it.

    Teaching methodologies and assessment

    Theoretical-practical classes aimed at consolidating knowledge, through the student's active participation in the teaching-learning process: research, critical evaluation, treatment and transmission of scientific information on topics relevant to the curricular unit, with an impact on clinical nutrition.
