Objectives
Objectives
The learning objectives (LO)are: LO1:To relate the normal functioning of the brain and nervous system to human behaviour and cognition LO2:To locate and describe the structure and function of the human nervous system components. LO3: Understand and describe the embryonic-fetal development of the nervous system LO4:To understand the role of regulatory systems and the concept of homeostasis LO5:To understand and recognize the normal functioning of the brain and nervous system. LO7:To understand and to recognize the normal functioning of the endocrine and immune system and its relation with the nervous system. LO8:To know the sensorial systems and understand the nature of information processing that occurs at different levels of these systems. LO9: To know and describe the constitution and functioning of the limbic system, neocortical-thalamic processing and emotional regulation mechanisms LO10: To know and describe the main impacts of the technologies on the relation brain-mind-behavior.

Teaching methodologies and assessment
Teaching methodologies and assessment
Different teaching methodologies (TM) will be used: Lectures of expository nature (TM1), Viewing and discussion of documentaries (TM2), Activities in pairs (TM3), Literature search (TM4), Analysis of scientific papers (TM5), Peer review process, in which these pairs critically evaluate each other's work (TM6), Feedback information provided by the teacher on work developed (TM7).
