This Curriculum Unit focuses on the concept of telepresence and its application in telepsychology and technology-mediated relationships. The main goals are: understanding the definition of telepresence, identifying and recognizing telepresence measurement tools in telepsychology, and developing skills to analyze verbal and non-verbal interactions during remote interviews. Content includes the history of telepresence, virtual reality immersion, telepresence assessment tools, discourse analysis and telepsychotherapy interactions, and qualitative and statistical data analysis methods.

This curricular unit will focus on the concept of telepresence and its interest in the field of telepsychology and more broadly of relationships mediated by technological tools. Teaching methodologies and assessment
Teaching methodologies and assessment
The expositive method will be used to allow students to understand the concept of telepresence (O1) and to know telepresence measurement tools that exist and to see how they are used in the context of telepsychology (O3). The active method will be used, with tutoring support provided by the teacher, while performing tasks associated with methods of speech analysis, particularly with the use of specialised software (O3).
