Presentation
Following in the footsteps of the previous course of Scientific Research Methodology, this course seeks to be it's natural continuation, devised so as to deepen and consolidate knowledge of the best practices regarding research and the development and writing of academic work, that should be caracterized by seriousness, intelectual honesty and rigor, so that the student will be able, at end, to present a dissertation project that may be used by her or him, as far as possible, to pursue with his endeavors towards the obtaining of a Master's degree.

Introduction. Relevant factors of a thesis: problematization, mastery of the legal method, innovation, relevance, completeness, reasoning, interdisciplinary, critical sense. Research as a process: planning, research and review. The theme. The planning. The search for sources. The structure. The essay. Research ethics. The public defense. Publishing the text.

Objectives
Objectives
The main objective of this course is that in the end the students should demonstrate a solid understanding of the various stages of the research process in Law and, in particular, about the process of preparing a master thesis. Indeed, students must be prepared to initiate and structure, in an autonomous way, the requirements of the final dissertation work. Other specific objectives are the following: ability to explain the relevance of the subjects researched and the motivation for the development of the research; problematize, develop hypothesis and innovate on themes already worked on; research and validate information sources; structure and write a scientific paper, in particular the various formal aspects of it.

Teaching methodologies and assessment
Prior to the presentation of dissertation projects, students will be encouraged to present a personal reflection, in seminar format, on the use of research methods and the analysis of law, namely a reflection on the use of related sciences in legal research.
