Objectives
Objectives
It is intended to stimulate contact with the panorama and cultural offer linked to the areas of Photography and Visual Arts, as well as deepening the theoretical and practical knowledge involved. Authors who reflect on the text/image relationship, as well as the processes of creating narratives, will be invited for a current understanding of the means of artistic production, as well as the dynamics and strategies of the art market. This curricular unit discusses the most recent developments in critical discourse, contextualizing cultural transformations (anthropological, sociological, economic and technical, among others), which in turn impact aesthetic revolutions. Analyzing the methodologies underlying the implementation of projects, editorials and authorship, students will be invited to reflect on the different notions of perspective that contaminate the ethical dimensions of photographic representation.

Teaching methodologies and assessment
Teaching methodologies and assessment
The teaching methodologies adopted in this course unit are expository, reflective, and participatory, fostering the articulation between theory and artistic practice. Through the participation of invited authors, artists, and professionals, thematic seminars provide direct contact with diverse approaches and interdisciplinary experiences. These sessions aim to stimulate critical thinking, dialogue between creative and research contexts, and the exchange of methodologies and working processes. The discussion space becomes a key moment of learning, encouraging students to question concepts, deepen their understanding of contemporary artistic practices, and develop an autonomous, informed, and critical attitude towards cultural production and its theoretical and social frameworks.
