Teaching methodologies and assessment
Teaching methodologies and assessment
The course unit employs active methodologies that place the student at the centre of the learning process, promoting the acquisition of practical and reflective skills essential to arbitration and mediation. In addition to lectures, the course includes simulations of arbitral hearings and mediation sessions, analysis of real cases, allowing students to experience different roles within the context of dispute resolution. Students with special status provided for by law or regulation that exempts them from mandatory attendance to classes, but who wish to be included in the continuous assessment regime, must inform the Professor of the course as soon as they become aware of this fact, but always with 90 days' notice before the end of classes, so that the Professor can define another form of work or support, which may include completing a written assignment, presenting reports, and/or an oral exam.
