The second objective focuses on identifying business opportunities and national, European and international financial support, as well as knowledge of the techniques used to design, analyse, finance and manage innovation and investment projects.

    Objectives

Students should understand the role of public policy and international financial institutions in the normal functioning of complex societies. They are also expected to understand the importance and usefulness of analysing, evaluating and applying methodologies to innovation and investment projects. The ability to identify funding and/or business opportunities and to respond to calls for proposals or public tenders is a skill that could prove very useful in professional life.
  • Teaching methodologies and assessment

    Teaching methodologies and assessment

The active methodology used in this seminar, one of the innovative methods in the teaching-learning process, is based on the active role of the students. The access to information that is always available, the content of the syllabus, the academic research, the always updated syllabus blog, the defended theses on the topics that are available online, similar research papers, all this turns the teacher into a mediator, a tutor who tries to transform all this information into knowledge. In order for this method to work, the learning objectives and the assessment model are defined from the outset and are known to the students so that they can prepare themselves in advance. In each lesson, there is a period when students are encouraged to take part in debates, express their opinions and thus develop their critical thinking.
