Provide students with skills to manage operations in the fields of protection and relief and civil protection, in the face of different emergency situations, namely through the implementation of an operational organization system appropriate to the type of occurrence and its complexity. To this end, the student develops the following specific skills:
1. Capacity to install an Operational Command Post;
2. Ability to carry out the strategic planning of an operation;
3. Ability to apply processes and tools to support decision-making;
4. Ability to communicate effectively with the forces and entities present;
5. Ability to implement a command and control structure for the operation;
6. Ability to monitor and evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of the operation.

Objectives
LO1: Identify the coordination, direction and command structures that make up the Integrated Protection and Rescue Operations System (SIOPS);
LO2: Describe the Operations Management System (SGO);
LO3: Recognize and apply procedures related to the operational decision-making process;
LO4: Develop an information management process capable of supporting decision-making;
LO5: Develop a strategic plan of action suited to the type of operation;
LO6: Develop an effective communication strategy with the forces and entities involved in the operation;
LO7: Apply coordination, command and control tools according to the SGO phase;
LO8: Identify critical aspects in monitoring the evolution of the operation;
LO9: Apply the correct procedures for transferring command of the operation

Teaching methodologies and assessment
Classes are theoretical-practical. In the theoretical parts, concepts, principles and theories essential to operations management are presented. In the practical parts, students are encouraged to put into practice the concepts, principles and theories learned through work presentations. Individual works are also supervised and will later be presented and discussed in the context of the classroom.
The evaluation of students is carried out in accordance with the University's evaluation regulation and with the following evaluation moments: Continuous Assessment (presence in classes, participation in classes and presentation of individual works) (30%) and an Individual Work [writing ( 40%) and oral presentation (30%)].
