Objectives
LO1: Define and classify the concept of crisis, its typologies, degrees of intensity and sources;
LO2: Know the general principles of crisis management and its stages;
LO3: Understand crisis management models and their suitability and applicability in different scenarios;
LO4: Create and train an organizational crisis management team;
LO5: Develop an information management and decision-making process capable of responding in time to each crisis scenario;
LO6: Understand the importance of communication in crisis scenarios;
LO7: Develop and manage an effective and efficient communication strategy for the internal and external environment;
LO8: Promote essential and critical skills in multiple teams;
LO9: Develop doctrine plans, plans and manuals for crisis situations in the context of civil protection.

Teaching methodologies and assessment
Classes are theoretical-practical. In the theoretical parts, the concepts, principles and theories essential to crisis management are presented. In the practical parts, the debate is promoted on case studies that illustrate the matter dealt with in the theoretical classes, the reality of organizations, as well as the individual works that will be later presented and debated are oriented. Still, in the practical parts, students are presented with case studies in a national and international context for the identification and development of skills associated with crisis management.
The evaluation of students is carried out in accordance with the university's evaluation regulation and, with the following evaluation moments: Continuous Evaluation (presence in classes, participation in classes and presentation of individual works) (30%); a Final Group Work [written (40%) and presented in class (30%)].
