Syllabus contents: LO1: error management models, “threat and error”, “Swiss cheese model”; LO2: sleep-wake cycle and fatigue; LO3: decrease human performance, such as nutrition, hydration, exercise, sleep, alcohol and drugs; LO4: exposure to thermal stress and noise; LO5: Human limitations (visual, auditory, mental health, cardiological and osteoarticular limitations that can interfere with Civil Protection Operations).

Objectives
Objectives
Develop in students critical thinking and the ability to implement risk factor management processes related to human limitations or pre-existing chronic pathologies. Develop skills to manage and implement solutions to minimize the risk of the human factor in teamwork.
The Learning Objectives (LO) are:
LO1: Knowing error management models, “threat and error”, “Swiss cheese model”;
LO2: Understand the sleep-wake cycle and the influence on fatigue;
LO3: Understand the various factors that decrease human performance, such as nutrition, hydration, exercise, sleep, alcohol and drugs;
LO4: Knowing the types of protection suitable for reducing the risk of exposure to thermal stress and noise;
LO5: Know the main visual, auditory, cardiological and osteoarticular limitations that can interfere with Civil Protection Operations.

Teaching methodologies and assessment
Teaching methodologies and assessment
Classes are theoretical-practical. In the theoretical parts, essential concepts, principles and theories are presented. Students are placed before case studies in national and international context for the identification and development of skills associated with Civil Protection. The evaluation of students is carried out in accordance with the university's evaluation regulation and, with the following evaluation moments: Continuous Assessment (presence in classes, participation in classes and presentation of individual works [ (30%)); a Final Individual Work ( written (40%) and presented in class (40%)].
