In the Curricular Unit, concepts integrated in the areas of knowledge of Mass Psychology and Political Leadership will be addressed and distinguished, deepening their conceptualization and interaction with each other, promoting the understanding of the underlying psychological and organizational dynamics. Within the scope of Mass Psychology, the processes of emergence and constitution of human crowds will be explained, focusing on their actions, typologies and functionalities. The Political Leadership framework will focus on the relationship between leadership and politics, power and its foundations, social influence and political activity, distinction between management and leadership. Leadership theories will be explored in depth, seeking to establish correspondences with practical contexts.

Objectives
Know the meaning and relevance of the contributions of Mass Psychology, recognizing its contribution in understanding and explaining the processes of constitution of human crowds and their respective functionalities Understand the relevance of the contributions of Mass Psychology for those exercising Political Leadership. Know the various concepts related to the phenomenon of Political Leadership, distinguishing some leadership theories, what differentiates them and/or the aspects they have in common Be able to identify different types of leadership

Teaching methodologies and assessment
Teaching methodologies and assessment
Theoretical-practical classes include the exposition of different themes accompanied by illustrative examples that facilitate their understanding, the clarification of doubts raised by students and debate on what was previously explained. Whenever appropriate, didactic resources will be used, reinforcing the acquisition of syllabus content as well as the establishment of correspondence between the content and the reality of the practical context. Students must play an active role in the construction of knowledge, encouraging critical and scientific thinking. The assessment is made on a scale of 0 to 20 and involves the realization and presentation of an individual work that corresponds to 100% of the final grade. Approval in the module will occur whenever the final grade is at least equal to 10 points. The continuous assessment process requires the realization and presentation of the individual work requested.
