Where to Apply?

Lisbon University Centre and Porto University Centre

The application for the Erasmus+ Mobility Programme consists of several stages. Below, you can find a summary of the main steps you should follow throughout your application process:

  1. Meet with the Coordinator responsible for mobility in your course or faculty. You can find the relevant contact information on this page. The mobility process involves selecting a course and a host institution/country. In addition to this choice, undertaking mobility requires defining a Learning Agreement. This agreement will specify the curricular units you will undertake at the host institution, which will later be recognised in your course.
  2. For any questions, you can visit the EVA service in person – Internships, Active Life, Mobility, and Lifelong Learning – or alternatively, you can use the email address mobilidade@ulusofona.pt.
  3. A study mobility grant/scholarship may be awarded. The monthly amounts are set by the Erasmus+ National Agency and are calculated based on the cost of living in each country.
  4. The application is submitted online. It will be validated by the EVA service – Internships, Active Life, Mobility, and Lifelong Learning – and the Mobility Coordinator, who will decide on the acceptance of the application at this initial stage.
  5. If your application is accepted, the next step will be to define the Learning Agreement. This is a process that should be reviewed and agreed upon between you, your departmental coordinator, and subsequently the host institution.
  6. The documents required for the application are: Photograph, Motivation Letter (in English), Curriculum Vitae (in English), and the OLS Language Test.
  7. All communications regarding the application process are made via email.

Before filling in, please consult the FAQ with instructions on how to apply for outgoing mobility, available on this page. Alternatively, send an email to mobilidade@ulusofona.pt.

Study Agreement - Learning Agreement

The Learning Agreement corresponds to the study program that you will undertake during your mobility period. The study agreement defines the curricular units and ECTS credits that you will take at the host institution and that will be subsequently recognized through equivalence to curricular units in the study program at Universidade Lusófona. You should, whenever possible, find a correspondence in ECTS between the curricular units to be completed in mobility and which you want to correspond to in your home course.

How many ECTS should I take during mobility?

Under the Easmus+ Mobility programme for long-term studies (SMS), students must complete 30 ECTS or 60 ECTS, in the case of semester or annual mobility, respectively. For short-term programmes (BIPs) the minimum number of ECTS is 3.
