Mobility for Teaching - STA

Applications to the Teaching Mobility Program must be submitted within the application deadlines stipulated annually in the services designated for this purpose in each of the Institutions.

Erasmus +

The ERASMUS+ Program is the largest Teaching Mobility program in the world. Promoted by the European Union and managed in Portugal by the National Agency ERASMUS+, its main objectives for teacher mobility are:

  • Establish and Strengthen relations between Higher Education Institutions from the different participating countries;
  • Contribute to the sharing of knowledge and experiences in pedagogical methodologies;
  • Allow an opportunity for personal and professional enhancement to participating teachers.

Who can apply?

All teachers who meet the following conditions can participate in the ERASMUS+ Programme:

  • Be a national of a Member State of the European Union or of another eligible country, or officially recognized by Portugal as a refugee, stateless person or permanent resident;
  • Have a contractual link with the ULHT
  • Carry out the teaching mission at a partner university of Universidade Lusófona

How can I apply?

The STA mobility for Teachers suggest adequacy regarding the internationalization policies of the Organic Units.

Favourable means aligned with the dynamics of the Organic Unit regarding the mandatory existence of an interinstitutional agreement for teaching in the area of teaching with partner institutions, that is, for carrying out STA Mobilities – Staff Teaching Assignemnt (at least 8 hours of teaching).

With the agreement already established, the Teacher must access the ‘Collaborator Portal’ and fill out the form - requests option within the scope of Internationalization (Out).

Mobility eligibility is determined by the Organic Units in line with LIO – Lusófona International Office/DGPA (financial eligibility).


When can you participate and apply?

Without prejudice to the acceptance of permanent applications, there will be two selection moments:

  • For mobility in the 1st Semester: applications received by June 30, with results to be announced by July 31.
  • For mobility in the 2nd Semester: applications received by November 3rd, with results to be announced by December 31st.

Mobility for training

  • Establish and Strengthen relations between Higher Education Institutions from the different participating countries;
  • Contribute to the sharing of knowledge and good practices;
  • Allow an opportunity for personal and professional enhancement of participants.

Who can participate and apply?

All employees who meet the following conditions can participate in the ERASMUS+ Program:

  • Be a national of a Member State of the European Union or of another eligible country, or officially recognized by Portugal as a refugee, stateless person or permanent resident;
  • Hold a contractual link with a Lusophone Teaching institution
  • Carry out the training mission at a partner university of Ensino Lusófona or at another institution duly justified for the training activity

Mobility of Personnel for Training (STT) – Possibilities

  • Training mission (continuous professional development);
  • HEI teaching and non-teaching collaborators, with any bond and from any department or hierarchical level;
  • European or International Destination
    Mandatory physical mobility –optional virtual component;

Durations

  • 5 to 30 days (participation in BIP);
  • 8 hours / 2 days to 2 months (for Europe-Programme Countries);
  • 8 hours / 5 days to 2 months (for Partner Countries–International);
  • Simultaneous reconcilable – minimum of 4 hours of teaching;

How Can I Apply?

The STT mobility of Teachers and Staff suggest being in line with the internationalization policies of the Organic Units/ Services.

If favourable, within the dynamics of the Organic Unit/ Service, the Teacher or staff must access the ‘Portal do Colaborador’ and fill out the form in the Insertion of requests option within the scope of Internationalization (Out).

Mobility eligibility is determined by the Organic Units/ Service, in line with LIO – Lusófona International Office/DGPA (financial eligibility).
