
Articulation of land management and emergency planning
Engineer André Rodrigues, will teach a session in the Emergency, Protection and Help Course (CEPS)
29.03.23 - 11h00Responding to an invitation from the National Republican Guard presented to the Board of the Faculty of Natural Sciences, Engineering and Technologies, of the Lusófona University - University Center of Porto, the Professor and Deputy Director of the Degree in Civil Protection Engineering, Engineer André Rodrigues, will give a session on the theme “Articulation of land use planning and emergency planning” in the Emergency, Protection and Help Course (CEPS).
CEPS is a specialization course in Emergency, Protection and Relief, which aims to provide trainees with the technical and professional skills suitable for carrying out functions in the field of prevention and first-line intervention, throughout the national territory, in emergency, protection and relief situation, namely in the occurrence of rural fires, natural disasters and serious accidents and in the promotion of protection, rescue and assistance to citizens and the preservation of their assets that are in a situation of danger resulting from causes from human action or nature.
Since March 29, 2023, at the Figueira da Foz Training Centre, at Escola da Guarda, the 2nd Emergency Protection and Help Course (CEPS) of the Emergency Protection and Help Unit ( UEPS) of the Republican National Guard which is currently attended by 39 military personnel (officers and sergeants).
