Lusófona @ Rock in Rio Lisboa 2022!

The Eco-Escolas da Faculdade de Engenharia was present at the Rock in Rio Lisboa 2022 festival. The students of the Eco-Escolas Council were invited by Ponto Verde Serviços (PVS) to participate in the event's waste management program.

PVS is a consultancy that develops its activity in the area of sustainability with a focus on waste management, and other areas, such as voluntary carbon market and other environmental consultancy projects. Since 2008, PVS has been responsible for waste management at the Rock in Rio event. At her invitation, the Eco-Escolas students were involved in monitoring the spaces and raising awareness in the Rock in Rio back office. During the 4 days of the event, the students made employees aware of the good practices of recycling, separation and selective disposal of waste, carried out the monitoring and control of waste. The coordinating teachers Eco-Escolas, Joana Lage and Elisabete Maurício, also attended the event with the students.

Students gave very positive feedback about their participation in this activity. This and other partnerships promoted by Eco-Escolas FE with national institutions aim to encourage students to have an immediate intervention and an active voice in today's society.
