
ULusófona Joins the Municipal Team for Equality in Local Life
Vice-Rector for Internationalisation to play a vital role in promoting Social Sustainability
09.04.24 - 12h45The Vice-Rector for Internationalization of Universidade Lusófona, Isabel Babo, was appointed as external advisor in the recently created Team for the Equality of Local Life (EIVL) by the Municipality of Porto, composed of 12 members. The team, led by the councilor for Social Cohesion, Fernando Paulo, aims to promote Equality and Non-Discrimination in the local community, in accordance with the Cooperation Protocol for Equality and Non-Discrimination, signed with the Commission for Citizenship and Gender Equality (CIG).
Isabel Babo, together with the other eleven members, including municipality directors and experts in the field, will contribute to the preparation of the Municipal Plan for Equality and Non-Discrimination. This plan addresses important issues such as violence against women and gender, the reconciliation of professional and personal life, and inclusive language, among others, through actions aimed at the community, as a way of combating the inequalities that persist in society.< /p>
The appointment of the Vice-Rector highlights the commitment of Universidade Lusófona not only to Equality, but also to the Sustainability of the local community.
