Perspectives on a Career in Water Resources Management

On 10 April, the Agostinho da Silva Auditorium hosted the Water Academy event, which brought together young people and professionals for a series of lectures by professors from Lisbon institutions and other specialised bodies, highlighting the strategic importance of proper water management and the career potential in this sector.

The talks covered a wide range of topics, from social aspects to public policy management issues and innovative technologies such as the picoturbine. The speakers emphasised the importance of making young people aware of the relevance of water in the urban space and the need for efficient management of water resources in cities.

They also emphasised the importance of looking for innovative solutions beyond conventional approaches to analysing supply networks, through alternative ways of using and reusing treated water.
