Garment Collection - Fashion Design and Production
Clothing and fabrics will be used for the development of an academic project.
22.09.22 - 09h14The Lusófona University of Humanities and Technologies and ISMAT, Institutions of the Lusófona Teaching Group, are collecting used clothing and fabrics for the development of an academic project within the scope of Degrees in Fashion Design and Production.
>The objective is, in a first phase, to allow students to have contact with different textile materials and to know how to identify their typologies.
In a subsequent phase, and this being the main objective, to transform used in New Products of Fashion Design.
This is an upcycling project that aims to raise awareness and make these new generations of professionals responsible for the topic, as current as sustainability and circularity. Here, social responsibility is added to the extent that new products will be created for delivery to solidary institutions.
We can and should all participate. The initiative began in September and continues throughout the school year.
The institution seeks to assume this position in the training of new professionals in Fashion Design.
