Students Explore Geological Resources at ULusófona Campus
Civil and Environmental Engineering courses carry out Geological survey with focus on Biodiversity and use of materials
15.07.23 - 15h23The Lusófona University campus was the scene of an innovative practical activity in which students from the Civil Engineering and Environmental Engineering courses took part in a geological survey. This exercise, part of the General and Applied Geology course, allowed students to explore and identify the various geological materials present on campus, as well as understand their application and importance in the environmental and construction context.
The activity was coordinated by Professor Anabela Cruces, who guided the students in analysing the characteristics of the soil and observing the associated biodiversity. During the survey, the participants worked in teams, applying theoretical knowledge to real situations, reinforcing the link between theory and practice.
This project stands out for its practical and interdisciplinary approach, promoting an in-depth understanding of natural resources and their sustainable applications. The initiative reflects ULusófona's commitment to providing a solid and integrated education, preparing its students for the environmental and engineering challenges of the future.
