Develop an arts-based program to reduce stigma around mental health
21.06.23 - 11h12The team of psychologists and researchers from Universidade Lusófona (COFAC, HEI-Lab) aims to better understand attitudes towards illness and mental health in Portugal. At this stage, they recruited participants from the arts-based program, which aims to integrate areas such as theatre, cinema, music and visual arts.
Over the course of 4 days, participants experienced various creative activities, facilitated by an experienced and excellent team. The program included: awareness-raising and psychoeducation activities on mental health, group dynamics, relaxation exercises, mindfulness, as well as activities and practical experiences in theatre, cinema, music and visual arts.
The HEI-Lab Research Team (Ana Filipa Beato, Isabel Santos, Leonor Pereira da Costa, Micaela Fonseca, Sara Albuquerque, Margarida Brazão) and Arts Teachers (Inês Marques, Ana Maymone, Celsa Xavier, Rui Carvalho, João Aguiar, Sofia Ângelo, Sara Afonso).
