02.05.23 - 10h17World Sleep and Student Day
In March, World Sleep Day and National Student Day are celebrated. World Sleep Day, March 17, highlights the importance of sleep for physical, mental and social well-being. Sleep quality is a fundamental pillar for our health. National Student Day, March 24, honors the 1962 student movement that protested against the precarious conditions of higher education and political repression in Portugal at the time. On this day, the importance of being a student and dedicated to all of us is highlighted. Being a student involves commitment, dedication, and organization of time and tasks, which is sometimes not easy. However, health care is fundamental, and this includes a good quality of sleep. Universidade Lusófona remembers these dates and highlights the importance of sleep for physical and mental health and academic and personal success.
Remember: Sleeping between 7 and 9 hours a night will make you feel good and have energy for your day.
