EP9 – Let’s SPIC About… High-Performance Sport and Higher Education w/ José Morgado
In this episode of Let’s SPIC About, we discuss the challenges and strategies for combining High-Performance Sport with Higher Education.
To shed light on this demanding reality, we welcomed two guests with distinct but complementary experiences: Leonel, a student-athlete, and David, a coach and participant in the ACTIVUS Project. Together, they shared their journeys, intense routines, and time-management strategies used to balance training, competitions, and university studies.
We also discussed the role of the University and sports clubs in creating conditions that foster both academic and athletic development, the importance of family support, and the relevance of projects such as ACTIVUS for reflecting on and advancing coaching practices within the dual career context.
