The UC aims to provide students with opportunities to consolidate existing knowledge of the English language and acquire new knowledge at a more advanced level. The manuals Business Result Pre-Intermediate and Essential Grammar in Use are used. Practical classes will be carried out related to international organizations and institutions, cultural differences and dealing with problem mediation situations, giving presentations, defending arguments, etc. to consolidate students' oral skills. It is essential to master vocabulary in topics related to international relations and cultural differences.

Objectives
The main objective of this curricular unit is to consolidate and develop linguistic knowledge to a more advanced level, with an emphasis on areas relevant to the study cycle. Students will have to understand the English language, written and oral, in everyday situations and in more complex professional situations. They will have to use basic vocabulary, suitable for professional contexts, and know how to distinguish between formal and informal language. They will have to use sentences with correct grammar, both in writing and orally.

Teaching methodologies and assessment
The syllabus aims to develop speaking, listening, writing and reading skills, through various exercises inspired by organizational environments and international relations. Reading activities propose authentic texts designed to develop comprehension skills. Writing practice will be implemented through structured tasks. Oral skills (speaking and listening) will be developed through a variety of tasks (debates, listening exercises, group conversations). Assessment: Continuous assessment: attendance and participation in class (10%) an oral presentation in class (20%) a written task and oral presentation in class (30%) a written test (40%) Final assessment: written exam (100%)
