Objectives
Objectives
Acquisition of knowledge on law concerning family and children, with a focus on the issues that are more relevant to the professional activity of social workers, namely parental rights, adoption, children and youths at risk, vulnerable adults, domestic violence and crimes perpetrated by, or against, minors. The acquisition of this knowledge has the objective of enabling students to diagnose and solve, in an adequate, reasoned, and balanced fashion, legal problems in this field that they may face in their future professional life.
