Objectives
Objectives
The aim is to provide students with theoretical and practical tools and analytical skills on land use planning; the importance of planning in preventing and minimizing natural and technological disasters; the relevance of planning in the post-disaster/rescue phase; knowing and distinguishing the various concepts related to civil protection planning; knowing and distinguishing the families of emergency plans. It is also intended that students acquire knowledge about emergency communications, the European Civil Protection Mechanism and emergency plans in buildings (self-protection measures, evacuation plans and drills). In order to consolidate knowledge, case studies will be analyzed for practical application of the theoretical concepts covered in class.

Teaching methodologies and assessment
Teaching methodologies and assessment
The teaching methodology consists of a presentation, using PowerPoint documents (provided to students) and the resolution of practical exercises to consolidate all taught content. Continuous assessment consists of a written test, corresponding to 20% of the final grade, and two practical works corresponding to 80% of the final grade. Practical work is two presentations object. The first presents the state of art, objectives and methodologies to develop. The second is the final presentation of the work. All evaluation elements are mandatory and the written test has a minimum score of 7 points (in 20). Class attendance is mandatory and the student can?t miss more than 30% of classes.
