Class Clinical Skills Laboratory

  • Presentation

    Presentation

Adopting transtheoretical and integrative proposals, and interpersonal psychotherapy models focused on the therapist personal development and on the clinical competencies for the establishment, maintenance and repair of therapeutic alliances, the focus is to provide a critical discussion and reflection on the clinical reasoning and on the importance of adjusting the clinical practice to the specifics of the case and the setting (e.g., client, problem, resources). In order to facilitate the training of these skills, skills training modalities will be implemented using: videos of psychotherapy sessions; analysis of clinical vignettes; case formulations; videotaped case simulations and role-plays, which will be followed by peer feedback and self-scopy.
